School Compass SG separates published facts, editorial review states, and unavailable data so that an unknown never becomes a recommendation.

Principles

Address-first, never ranking-first.
Historical records provide context, never a probability.
Official sources are privileged over secondary historical sources.
Unknown and not-published fields remain visibly unknown.
Freshness, trust tier, and editorial state stay attached to the record.

Current evidence model

Core directory fields and recent P1 records come from MOE and data.gov.sg sources. Older imported P1 records from SGSchooling remain labelled Tier 2 and require source or editorial review. Records stay attached to their registration year and phase.

The current version does not infer distance bands, family fit, school quality, or admission likelihood. Campus coordinates are not yet available in the validated dataset.

Data changes and programmes are refreshed. If a school detail looks wrong or outdated, write to hello@schoolcompass.sg with the school name and the source you believe should be reviewed.
