A postal code submitted through the nearby-school search is used to perform the requested lookup. It is kept only in a secure, two-hour HttpOnly cookie so the results page can load, and it is not sent to Google Analytics.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand broad traffic patterns and how public site features are used. We send page paths without query strings and a small set of coarse events, such as a completed postal search, the start of a comparison, or a report preview view.

We do not send postal codes, email addresses, report tokens, child or family details, or combinations of selected schools. Enhanced Measurement, Google Signals, and ads personalization are disabled. Google Analytics may still use first-party identifiers and collect general device, browser, country, traffic-source, and engagement data.

Analytics data is used to improve navigation, content, and product flows. Google processes this data for us under its Analytics terms; we do not use it for advertising or remarketing. User-level and event-level Analytics retention is set to two months for explorations, while standard aggregated reports may be retained separately by Google.
